Technical Tree Climbing Train the Trainer
This five-day program is an intense period of training that focuses on improving technical skills as well as soft skills such as leadership, facilitation, and education training techniques. The following information outlines the content of this training program.
Participants must have 5 years documented experience as climbers and be pre-qualified as competent and experienced climbers. The attached registration form must be filled out. The program utilizes TCIA’s Tree Care Academy’s Tree Climber Specialist and SRT Climber course and therefore, participants must complete these Tree Care Academies within three months of program completion.
Participant Competency Testing
Each participant will be required to pass a competency evaluation that demonstrates competency in climbing to
include both MRS and SRS climbing systems.
Location: Camp Kiwanilong, 595 SW Ridge Road, Warrenton OR 97146
Date: October 13-18, 2019
Course Times: Each day will begin early and all evenings will include session time. Please be prepared to focus all week on the training program. There will not be time to leave the camp/resort for any other activities during the week.
Cost: $1895 per attendee. Cost includes 5 nights’ accommodations, all meals and refreshment breaks, use of facilities, as well as all course materials, instructor resources, and certificate package. Participants need to make their own travel arrangements to arrive at the camp facility.
CEUs: ISA Certified Arborists and TCIA CTSPs will be eligible to receive Continuing Education Units (CEU’s).
