    Course Description
    The Stationary Rope System (SRS) training course is designed to educate participants about safety requirements as they pertain to working in trees as well as to train participants in climbing techniques.
    • Integrated tree and anchor risk assessment as it relates to SRS tree climbing
    • Anchor loading dynamics and physics
    • Identifying and understanding components of SRS tree climbing
    • Building safe and proper SRS systems
    • Accessing the tree’s canopy utilizing a SRS method
    • Working and positioning within the canopy utilizing SRS methods and techniques
    • Redirecting in the tree canopy when utilizing a SRS method
    • Descending safely from the tree
    • Retrieval and removal of gear from the tree after the climb
    Course Details
    Location: The Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University, 125 Arbor Way, Boston, MA
    Date: October 26-27, 2017
    Course Times: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (both days); lunch is not provided
    Cost: $450 if registered on or before October 13; $500 if registered after October 13
    CEUs: International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborists, Utility Specialists, Municipal Specialists, and Tree Workers will be eligible to receive CEUs for the two-day course.
    Equipment Requirements: Participants are required to bring personal protection equipment and their regular climbing gear (harness and line); climbing gaffs are not required.

  • Age of Majority: Each participant must be over the age of majority in the state in which the course is being held
    Payment Terms: A minimum of $100 is required to hold your space; full payment is required at least 14 days prior to the start of the course
    Cancellation Policy: 30 or more days in advance: full refund; 29-14 days in advance: 50% cancellation penalty; 13-0 days in advance: 100% cancelation penalty; no-shows: no refund.
    We ask each registrant to provide either an e-mail address or a fax number, as you will receive your confirmation letter and supporting information by one of these two ways. If an administrator in your office is submitting a registration, please ensure to pass along the confirmation package to the staff member who will be attending the training.NO CONFIRMATION PACKAGES WILL BE SENT VIA REGULAR MAIL, UNLESS SPECIFICALLY ARRANGED WITH OUR OFFICE.
    You may register with a check or through our online payment system (check made out to North American Training Solutions). Please keep in mind that a $100.00 deposit is required to be paid to hold a spot. The remainder must be paid 14 days prior to the start of the program; failure to do so will result in a forfeit of registration fees and deposits already paid
