Electrical Hazard Awareness Training
Due to the potential of electrical contact with overhead and underground energized power lines and equipment resulting in serious injury and fatalities, arborists in the urban environment need to be well informed about the dangers of working in this environment. The electrical awareness module has been prepared to teach tree care professionals how to avoid deadly encounters and decrease lost production time, downed or damaged equipment, and lawsuits and fines. Specific topics include:
- Electrical theory
- Electrical accidents
- OSHA/ANSI/OH&S/ECUSR standards and regulations
- Dielectric tools and equipment
- Voltage identification
- Compound rigging techniques and planning

CEUs: International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborists, Utility Specialists, Municipal Specialists, and Tree Workers will be eligible to receive CEUs

Age of Majority: Each participant must be over the age of majority in the state in which the course is being held
Payment Terms: A minimum of $100 is required to hold your space; full payment is required at least 14 days prior to the start of the course
Cancellation Policy: 30 or more days in advance: full refund; 29-14 days in advance: 50% cancellation penalty; 13-0 days in advance: 100% cancelation penalty; no-shows: no refund.
We ask each registrant to provide either an e-mail address or a fax number, as you will receive your confirmation letter and supporting information by one of these two ways. If an administrator in your office is submitting a registration, please ensure to pass along the confirmation package to the staff member who will be attending the training.NO CONFIRMATION PACKAGES WILL BE SENT VIA REGULAR MAIL, UNLESS SPECIFICALLY ARRANGED WITH OUR OFFICE.
You may register with a check or through our online payment system (check made out to North American Training Solutions). Please keep in mind that a $100.00 deposit is required to be paid to hold a spot. The remainder must be paid 14 days prior to the start of the program; failure to do so will result in a forfeit of registration fees and deposits already paid
