Course Description

This course is designed to introduce traditional tree bolting, cable and bracing tools and techniques. Emphasis is placed on evaluating trees structurally and determining appropriate support systems based on tree value, condition, and legal liability implications. Tree dynamics and biology are explained and related to support systems and natural tree compensative processes. Practical time is spent on installing a non-invasive tree support system.

Applicable Standards

This course meets the ANSI/ASSE Z490.1 Criteria for Accepted Practices in Safety, Health, and Environmental Training as well as ANSI A300 Part 3.
